The bottleneck in agentic development isn't the agent's output. It's everything around it — including the output itself!

Working on multi-agent-sdlc (my open-source project) and alongside the Omnigent harness keeps surfacing the same pattern: the hybrid loop is heavier than the slogans admit.
🔁 The loop is heavier than it looks. We talk about AI doing the work and humans staying in the loop. In practice, if those human steps aren't instrumented and made visible, the cognitive load explodes. Code review shows it first. Analysis, architecture, testing, release decisions, documentation, acceptance — each one accumulates context, judgment, and responsibility. None of it is a checkbox in a workflow diagram.
🛠️ Craftsmanship doesn't disappear. It stops maturing. AI removes the moments where it gets built — the tradeoff an engineer used to sit with, the small call, the outcome they had to live with. Strip the friction out, and the system moves faster without getting wiser.
⏳ Time to think is becoming more valuable, not less. Most of the rework I keep seeing traces back to one thing: a decision made too fast, upstream — a vague constraint, a missing handoff, a review with no teeth. Slowing down at the right moment isn't friction. It's leverage.

That's the layer multi-agent-sdlc is trying to build — roles · evidence · review boundaries · validation · human checkpoints — explicit about what AI did, what a human decided, and where responsibility sits. It's open source, and I'd rather it get challenged than admired.
